I bought Identilock for my S&W M&P , in general works well , protects the trigger I think it will keep a kid away once a kid notice that can’t open it probably will lose interest, I don’t know a “bigger kid” , you need to put your finger very well in order to be recognized, but in general, will do the job to keep people whi is not supposed to touch your gun
I have been testing this lock out for a couple weeks now. It has been good so far. Setting up finger print was fairly easy to do. When opening, it is fast although it would be nice if it had little faster reaction time. I find that when it opens it opens slowly as opposed to quick spring action.
I have shaken this thing up in all directions and forces. I tried to pry it open with no luck so I feel confident having this lock for my firearm.
I will note that it got really cold (left it in my car overnight) and I could not open it with finger print. I had to wait about 10 minutes or so for it to warm up again before it finally released the gun.
Overall I am satisfied and will keep using this lock.
Great product, but it is missing a mounting option, a base attachment that would allow the hinged side to be mounted horizontal on a flat surface, like a closet shelf, or drawer, making it much easier to grab the weapon when needed.
IDENTILOCK For Smith & Wesson M&P
must have entire finger bed on sensor to work, a partial finger as if your in a hurry will not unlock the gun. Also you are unable to store your finger print if the bed of your finger is not completely covering the scanner.
